About
A major in Physical Education, Grades K-12 prepares you to teach physical education, wellness and fitness in primary, elementary or secondary schools. Your program will also address the Sunshine State Standards, the Accomplished Practices, and the Florida Education Standards Commission’s Code of Ethics and Principles of Professional Conduct and its ramifications, which leads to first-rate employment opportunities for you after graduation. When completing the program, the student will be fully certified to teach in the state of Florida.
The Human Performance and Sport major and its concentrations provide students with expertise strength and conditioning, exercise prescription and coaching.
The Exercise Science major and its concentrations provide a solid foundation for students preparing for careers in allied health; including: sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician assistant, cardiac rehabilitation and nutrition programs.
